The use of variant tables is increasingly common in configuration models. However, maintaining these objects through SAP standard transactions is not always user-friendly for modelers. Particularly when using multi-valuations, the data is not transparently available to the user. The NWS app "smart Variant-Table maintenance" (sVTm) provides support to modelers in their daily tasks. The tool offers the following added benefits:

The NWS app sVTm is designed for efficient maintenance of table contents. The table structure itself still needs to be maintained through SAP applications in the backend.


The NWS app uses the data and structures set up in the backend. These are made available to the user at the time of editing via SAP standard interfaces. When saving the adjusted master data, it is also returned to the backend via SAP standard interfaces. This ensures that no redundant data is stored.
