Here are some frequently asked questions about our application.
No values are being imported
- Are all tabs present in the template file?
Protocol error: Invalid template character
- Check the entries in the columns template and form on the characteristics sheet of the template file for consistency with the parameters from the SAP system.
Imported data has an old status
- Re-select and apply the template file via the file explorer.
- Simply adjusting the File Name field is not sufficient.
Import file cannot be read
- Re-select and apply the template file via the file explorer.
Characteristic cannot be imported
- Is the characteristic name written in uppercase?
- Is the characteristic type specification written in uppercase?
- Are all mandatory tabs present in the template file?
Characteristic is not being adopted
- Check the capitalization of entries.
NUM interval values are not being adopted
- Is an "X" set in the "Interval Value" column on the "Characteristics" sheet in the template file?
- Check if the values are entered in accordance with SAP input:
- Spaces are set according to SAP Std.
- Separators are consistent with user parameters?
Numeric value is not being adopted
- Ensure the correct number of digits is chosen; Integer = Number of digits - Decimal places
- Are the delimiter characters identical to the user's settings?
Setting the correct template
- If no specific template is required, this field should not be provided in the import file. The template is set by the SAP standard during import/creation.
